Review: Made from Earth's Rosehip & HIbiscus Facial Serum

I'm taking a break from studying and writing this review. Damn midterms, take up all my time.

So I finally had time to try out Made from Earth's Rosehip & Hibiscus Face Serum. I swear, if I was to write this review about a week ago, I would have probably said I disliked it. But after trying it out again last night, it's honestly not too bad.

The serum doesn't have any smell to it, so if you're one of those people who dislike smell to their skincare/makeup products, that's a bonus point. Even after telling my boyfriend that none of them really had any smell to it, he still had to open every single jar and take a sniff of it himself. Then the next thing you know, he spills some on my bed. What a waste!

Anyway, I was quite confused by this serum when I first applied it. As I was spreading it on my face, I noticed that some foam had developed around the edges where I spread it to. I never experienced this from serums before, so that I didn't quite understand why it was doing that. But it's foam, it doesn't hurt, and it does go away after a while. It was quite annoying at first though.

I used a very small amount of serum, but after applying it, my face feels kinda sticky. It took a really long time for the serum to absorb into my skin, so I had to go to bed with a sticky face. For the first few times I went to bed with it, I woke up with a sticky and oily face. Now, I know I have dry skin, but an oily face would make anyone break out so I was skeptical about trying it again until last night.

Last night, I used a minimal amount of serum (even less than I had before). Although my face still felt sticky at the time I applied it, it was gone by the time I woke up. Also, instead of looking really oily when I woke up, my face looked hydrated and smooth. So I'm really glad that I gave this face serum another chance.

The texture of the serum is not very viscous. However, it felt somewhat heavy on my face. The stickiness and the fact that it kinda foams bothers me quite a bit, so I don't think I would use this during the day time. Overall, I haven't experienced any benefits from using this serum other than the fact that it was hydrating that one time I used it.

I have read reviews on this product before, but I suspect that it's written by the same people as comments on other people's blogs (because they all say the same thing and written using the same names). They said that this serum had helped them get rid of breakouts, rosacea, etc. Unfortunately, I did not experience any of this first hand.

If you would like to try this product yourself, you can purchase your own Rosehip & Hibiscus Facial Serum from Made from Earth's website for $24.99. Also, you get a FREE Citrus Fresh Lip Balm with any purchase (NO minimum) when you use the promo code BDANCER.
